Hi! My name is Angela Welch and I'm a licensed professional counselor in MD. I have an MS in Counseling Psychology. I have 9 years practice in counseling, with an additional 15 years in the human services field. My practice helps clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma manage symptoms through an attachment-based model, grounded in CBT and Reality Therapy.
I tend to be warm and down to earth. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each client. I am trained in EMDR to assist with managing traumatic memories and triggers. I also have training in the use of DBT skills to assist with emotion regulation. I believe in client-led sessions so therapy moves at the client's pace.
My goal for each session is for the client to feel someone has really listened to them. My hope is that we work together to make meaningful changes.
