Great to meet you!

Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of experience helping individuals heal from anxiety, trauma, relational wounds, and overwhelming life experiences. My work is especially focused on anxiety, nervous system dysregulation, trauma, narcissistic abuse recovery, and supporting individuals navigating prescription medication injury, chronic stress, or prolonged strain on the body and mind.

My background includes extensive training in EMDR, Polyvagal-informed approaches, and process addictions, along with additional education in Internal Family Systems (IFS). I continue pursuing advanced education in trauma and nervous system healing so I can offer care that reflects a deeper understanding of how the brain, body, and nervous system respond to stress and trauma.

You may be carrying exhaustion, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or a nervous system that no longer feels safe. I want clients to know they don’t have to navigate that alone. My hope is to provide a space where people feel believed, understood, supported, and able to begin healing at a gentle pace that feels safe and sustainable.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, nervous system-focused, and tailored to each individual person I work with. I draw from EMDR, Polyvagal-informed approaches, attachment-focused work, and parts work to help clients better understand both their emotional experiences and the ways stress and trauma can impact the nervous system.

I believe many symptoms — anxiety, shutdown, hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, or difficulty trusting yourself — are often protective responses rather than personal failures. Rather than pushing people past their limits, I focus on helping clients build regulation, self-understanding, resilience, and a stronger connection with themselves over time.

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and paced carefully so clients do not feel overwhelmed in the healing process.

What you can expect from me

The first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what has been weighing on you. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming in, and there is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you hope will feel different moving forward. I may also ask questions about your history, relationships, stress levels, and nervous system patterns so I can better understand the full picture of your experience.

My goal for the first session is for clients to leave feeling heard, supported, and a little less alone in what they’ve been carrying.
