Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Angie Overton, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner serving individuals across South Carolina. I'm passionate about providing compassionate, whole-person care to people navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, eating disorders, sleep disorders, and more. Outside of my work, you'll find me traveling, reading, practicing yoga, or spending time with my family — and I bring that same sense of balance and joy into the care I offer my my patients.

My approach to therapy

I believe that mental and physical health are deeply connected, and my dual background allows me to treat the whole person rather than just the diagnosis. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) alongside medication management to give clients practical, personalized tools that actually work in everyday life. I have a special passion for supporting people through later life transitions — whether that's aging, chronic illness, postpartum changes, or caring for a loved one with dementia — because I know these seasons of life can bring unique emotional weight. My goal is always to make sure you feel heard, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

From the very first session, I want you to feel like you can exhale. We'll take the time to talk through what's brought you in, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping life can look like on the other side of this. I also work with couples and families, so if your relationships are part of what you'd like to strengthen, that door is open too. There's no rush — we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

Ready to take the first step? Reach out today to schedule your first appointment. I'd be honored to be part of your journey toward feeling like yourself again.
