Dr. Britt Beasley, a North Carolina native, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he completed a Master’s degree in Neurobiology and a Doctor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine. Dr. Beasley pursued his residency in general psychiatry at Mount Sinai in Manhattan.
Following residency, Dr. Beasley worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in Philadelphia and served as a Clinical Associate at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he taught medical students and psychiatry residents. During his time in Philadelphia, he co-founded a private practice alongside another Christian psychiatrist and a team of Christian therapists. Together, they partnered with local churches to provide mental health care rooted in biblical principles while collaborating with church leaders.
After nine years in Philadelphia, Dr. Beasley returned to Richmond two years ago, bringing with him extensive experience in integrating faith and science within psychiatric care. His practice reflects a commitment to addressing mental health holistically, combining his expertise in neurobiology with a compassionate, faith-informed approach to treatment.

I’m someone who shows up fully—credentials, heart, humor, and all. With over 20 years in healthcare and advanced training in ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, early adulthood, and perinatal mental health, I blend integrative psychiatry with a whole-person, trauma-informed approach.
I’m also a real human: Enneagram 1w2, Ravenclaw-ish, reader of funny books, reluctant runner, and occasional plant rescuer. My pets may drop in on our calls (cat = soothing, one dog = judgy, the other = sweet but rock-obsessed). I know what it’s like to balance ambition with burnout, and caring for others while trying to care for yourself. You’re not alone here.

Reaching out for help isn’t always easy. If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or past trauma, you don’t have to go through it alone. I work with kids, teens, and adults (ages 6 and up) to find real, practical ways to feel better — whether that’s through talk therapy, medication, or a mix of both.
My style is open-minded, supportive, and focused on what actually works for you. I’m here to listen, figure things out with you, and help you move toward feeling more like yourself again.
I’m a board-certified nurse practitioner with advanced training in mental health care. I hold a master’s degree in nursing from Spring Arbor University and a bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. But more than that, I care deeply about showing up for people in a way that feels human, respectful, and real.
