Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 10 years of experience in adult and geriatric care. My background includes working across outpatient settings, long-term care facilities, and behavioral health services, where I have managed a wide range of mental health conditions.

I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, insomnia, and trauma-related conditions. I also have experience supporting individuals with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions, including chronic pain and substance use disorders.

My approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and focused on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. I combine evidence-based medication management with practical strategies to help improve your daily functioning and overall well-being.

Whether you are starting treatment for the first time or looking to optimize your current care, my goal is to work with you to develop a plan that aligns with your needs and long-term goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your symptoms, medical history, and personal goals. From there, we work together to develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, and practical strategies to improve daily functioning.

I take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and life circumstances. I have experience working with individuals managing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, insomnia, and co-occurring conditions such as chronic pain or substance use.

I prioritize clear communication, education about treatment options, and ongoing follow-up to ensure your care remains effective and aligned with your needs. My goal is to create a supportive and respectful environment where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns and actively participating in your care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a comprehensive and structured evaluation focused on understanding your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, and treatment goals. I will take the time to listen carefully and create a space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences without judgment.

We will work together to clarify a diagnosis, if appropriate, and begin developing a personalized treatment plan. This may include medication options, lifestyle considerations, and practical strategies to support your mental health.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your condition, an initial plan in place, and next steps for follow-up care. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, informed, and supported from the very beginning.
