Great to meet you!

As a bicultural Dominican-American therapist, I deeply value the balance between individuality and community. My personal journey has shaped my belief that true growth comes from honoring your unique needs while nurturing meaningful connections with those you love. In therapy, I strive to create a space where your voice, culture, and story are not just acknowledged but genuinely celebrated. In our work together, you’ll find a compassionate, culturally attuned environment where your journey is honored, and your growth is supported every step of the way.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience supporting teens, adults, and couples. My work focuses on helping clients navigate life transitions, ADHD, grief, trauma, anxiety, and relationship challenges. In addition to my clinical expertise, my background in community leadership and wellness informs my holistic approach. I view personal development not merely as resolving issues but as fostering resilience, finding purpose, and building authentic connections in everyday life.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as both a grounding and growth-oriented process—much like nurturing soil to help new life thrive. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in cultural awareness. I integrate evidence-based practices, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care.

Creating a safe, emotionally nurturing space is essential in my work. Together, we'll cultivate curiosity and explore what you need to flourish, whether that involves adjusting aspects of your environment, relationships, or inner narrative. My role isn't to judge but to support you in recognizing patterns, deepening self-awareness, and experimenting with new, fulfilling ways of relating to yourself and others.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, whether online or in-person, you can expect a structured yet warm and welcoming process designed to help us get to know each other. We’ll begin with an intake process where I’ll ask questions to understand your background, current challenges, and what brings you to therapy. This helps create a comprehensive picture of your experiences and needs.

As we move forward, we’ll explore whether a mental health diagnosis is relevant, discussing any criteria that may apply in a thoughtful and sensitive manner. This part of the session is collaborative, ensuring that you feel involved and informed throughout.

Together, we’ll start to craft a personalized treatment plan—a healing and growth roadmap tailored to your goals and values. This plan isn’t just about addressing challenges; it’s about identifying your strengths, fostering self-awareness, and setting the stage for meaningful change. My intention is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and empowered to embark on your therapeutic journey with clarity and confidence.
