Great to meet you!

  • Hi, I’m Anita, a licensed clinical social worker with more than 25 years of experience and national board certification. I help adults navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, occupational and relationship struggles, burnout, and major life transitions.
  • Many of the people I work with feel stuck in painful patterns that leave them overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward.
  • My work is grounded in evidence-based therapies tailored to each person's unique needs, helping clients gain clarity, get unstuck, create lasting change — and ultimately exhale, feeling lighter and more grounded.

My approach to therapy

  • My style is warm, collaborative, and direct, balancing deeper insight with practical tools for change. I especially enjoy working with thoughtful, insight-oriented adults who are often highly capable in many areas of life, yet privately struggle with anxiety, burnout, relationship pain, or harsh self-criticism.
  • Therapy can become a space where you no longer have to hold everything together alone.
  • Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each individual and their specific goals and challenges.
  • As our work unfolds, we’ll gently explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical tools to help you move through life with greater authenticity, confidence, self-trust, and healthier relationships.

What you can expect from me

  • The first session is an intake assessment, which means it is more structured than ongoing therapy sessions. Its purpose is to help me develop a clear, thorough understanding of your concerns, history, strengths, patterns, and goals so we can begin building a treatment approach that is both thoughtful and effective.
  • Clients often tell me they feel relieved by the clarity and direction this process provides. While the session is clinically grounded and purposeful, my style remains warm, collaborative, and deeply engaged, helping you feel understood, supported, and confident that you are in capable hands.
  • If you're unable to find an open appointment slot, feel free to call me at ‭(252) 308-4846‬ or email me at [email protected]
