I have worked for most of my career in community based mental health. I have served a diverse population of clients and believe that this has increased my clinical knowledge. I have completed a training on trauma-informed care by the Ferentz Institute and implement methods learned in my own practice.
I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach. I ensure that my clients feel comfortable, safe, and heard. I treat clients with past trauma histories with patience and understanding. Due to lived experience, I have an easier time understanding the heaviness that my clients feel.
Clients will be treated with compassion and understanding of how hard it can be to start therapy.
