Great to meet you!

I live in the beautiful Southwest and I embrace my Hispanic Heritage. I am a bilingual therapist- Spanish. I specialize in helping adults overcome childhood trauma due to family inter-generational abuse. The focus of treatment is to overcome the anxiety, depression, guilt, and a host of other issues that result from unresolved pain. I will provide a strength based approach to healing and growth..

My approach to therapy

The therapeutic intervention will depend on what you want to accomplish in sessions. CBT addresses thinking and feeling patterns. Psycho-analysis focuses on the integration of core beliefs. DBT provides skill building and problem solving strategies. I will encourage you to chart and journal regularly so that patterns emerge. I believe that developing awareness and reinforcing the positive is what leads to change.

What you can expect from me

I have developed an interest in complex trauma and the impact of adverse experiences on the nervous system. Complex trauma is the exposure to multiple traumatic events. When negative events happen repeatedly, they can impact our outlook in life. As a therapist, I want clients to know, they can reclaim the Self that may feel lost. My work integrates the body and the mind, and I strive to develop therapeutic strategies that will have a healing impact on the person as a whole.
