Great to meet you!

Welcome. I am passionate about supporting adults in feeling more grounded and connected to themselves in order to feel more ease in all parts of their lives. Maybe you're experiencing a loss, desiring deeper connection with yourself or in your relationships, or feeling ready to get unstuck from old patterns. Together, we will work to better understand the core of your struggles and develop skills for the kind of change you are seeking.

I hold a masters in social work from Smith College School for Social Work. I have worked as a therapist in schools, non-profits and community-based settings for the past 7 years providing individual psychotherapy, supporting healthy attachment within families, and facilitating groups. My work is psychodynamic, relational, and attachment-based. I have also completed a number of trainings in somatic therapy techniques, Jungian psychology, and polyvagal theory.

My approach to therapy

I am warm, collaborative, and engaging in my approach. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that fosters hope, possibility, and belief in your own agency and truth. My guidance will support you in getting clearer in yourself about what is true for you- both in terms of what works for you and what you are ready to let go of.

Past experiences often shape our habits in ways that, while useful at the time, no longer serve us well in the present. The disconnect between our patterns and the ways we want to feel or act can create anxiety, low mood, and stress. Together we will uncover these patterns and I will support you in learning new ways of relating.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to start to explore what brings you to therapy. I will ask you questions to get a fuller picture of what's going on in your life right now and what led up to this moment. We will explore your hopes for therapy as well as your greater hopes for your life and start to make a plan for our work together.
