Great to meet you!

Welcome to Ember & Oak—a place to learn, belong, and grow. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 25 years of experience supporting people across the lifespan in healthcare, education, and community settings. If you've spent years feeling misunderstood, wondering why life seems harder for you than it does for everyone else, or carrying the weight of "not enough" or "too much," you're not alone. I founded Ember & Oak to create a thoughtful, collaborative space where people can better understand themselves, their relationships, and their wellbeing.

My approach to therapy

I don't believe in asking, “What's wrong with you?” I believe behavior makes sense within the context of your life and experiences. Together, we'll explore the relationships, patterns, and experiences that have shaped you. My approach is collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in curiosity. You'll gain deeper insight, practical strategies, and support for meaningful change that honors who you are—not who you think you're supposed to be.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. You may be carrying pain, self doubt, exhaustion, or the fear you will be judged or misunderstood - again. For one hour, you don't have to carry it all alone. We'll make space for your story, make sense of what you are experiencing, and discover what helps you move forward. From there, we'll build a deeper understanding of yourself, greater self compassion, and practical tools that fit the way your unique mind works.
