Great to meet you!

My name is Anntonia Houston, and I am the founder of Tone Set Therapy. I bring nearly two decades of experience working with children and adults across a variety of professional settings, including nine years in therapeutic roles. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and veterans.

I created Tone Set Therapy to provide care that feels professional without feeling impersonal. My work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, with a focus on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions. For clients who desire it, faith can also be thoughtfully incorporated into the therapeutic process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to the person in front of me. I use an integrative approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, and other evidence-based techniques based on each client’s needs and goals.

Together, we’ll look at the patterns, experiences, and challenges affecting your life today while developing tools that can create meaningful change outside of our sessions. I believe therapy should give you room to be honest, ask difficult questions, and better understand yourself without feeling judged or rushed through the process.

You won’t receive a one-size-fits-all approach here. The work we do will be intentional, structured when needed, and centered on helping you make progress that feels realistic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you would like to change, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

You do not need to arrive with the right words or have everything figured out. We’ll move at a pace that allows you to feel comfortable while identifying the areas that deserve our attention first.

By the end of our initial session, my goal is for you to have a clearer understanding of where we can begin, what our work together may look like, and the next steps toward the progress you want to make.
