Great to meet you!

I am passionate about helping people heal, grow, and feel more at home in their own lives. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative.

I have a Master’s in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling Psychology, and have spent over 20 years supporting individuals through mental health crises, trauma, and life transitions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) and I genuinely love what I do.

My career has been dedicated to working with some of the most overlooked populations including justice-involved individuals, those navigating reentry, and people in the midst of life’s most difficult moments. My background spans clinical counseling, crisis intervention, and correctional settings, giving me a uniquely grounded perspective on what healing actually requires.

This is a space where all parts of your story are welcome, and where we work together toward the version of yourself you want to become.

My approach to therapy

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, blending them thoughtfully based on what you actually need. That often includes cognitive behavioral strategies, exploring how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another, alongside trauma-informed care and strengths-based work that recognizes and builds on the resilience you already carry. There's no one-size-fits-all formula here. I take the time to understand your goals and comfort level, and I shape our work around you rather than fitting you into a rigid framework.

What you can expect from me

From the very first session, you can expect to feel welcomed, respected, and genuinely heard. I bring warmth, encouragement, and clear communication to every session, and I make it a priority to honor your cultural background and lived experience throughout our work together. Beyond the emotional support, I'm focused on helping you build practical tools you can actually use between sessions because growth happens in everyday life, not just in the therapy room. My goal is to create a consistent, emotionally safe space where you feel seen and supported as you move toward the life you're working to build.
