Dr. Aqsa Salman, LCMHC, DBH
Dr. Aqsa Salman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Doctor of Behavioral Health in North Carolina. She earned her master’s degree in clinical counseling in 2015 from Bellevue University. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Doctor of Behavioral Health in 2021. The Doctor of Behavioral Health degree is focused on addressing the behavioral problems (depression, anxiety stress) due to chronic physical health conditions such as chronic diabetes, hypertension, obesity smoking etc. She has gained experience providing clinical assessments and individual & group therapy services. Her approach includes Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnosis and Motivational Interviewing. She helps adults cope with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and grief and behavioral issues associated with chronic physical health problems.
Aqsa is a certified brain health practitioner from Amen University and a Certified Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). Aqsa is passionate about working to empower individuals and help them to identify their inner strength, to bring positive change focusing on “Whole-person care” by modifying the lifestyle using the skills learning through her doctoral degree in integrated behavioral health and functional diagnostic nutrition program. Aqsa is certified in Immigration Evaluation.
