Great to meet you!

I am a trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland holding a masters degree in clinical behavioral health with a specialty in behavioral health workforce integration and education from the University of Maryland Baltimore. I have 5+ years of experience through volunteering and internships working with marginalized groups while collaborating with children, teens, and families. Using a client-centered, strength-based approach, I aid clients in navigating challenging problems, emotions, and behaviors through life transitions to help gain deeper emotional insight. This process can promote mental and emotional wellness which can allow for a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities to help restructure thought patterns; psychodynamic therapy to explore unconscious roots; mindfulness-based approaches for present moment awareness. My approach can be process-oriented while always emphasizing your subjective experience, freedom of choice and personal meaning. Humanistic and person-centered approaches provide clients with the freedom and ability to holistically increase self-awareness, elevate personal responsibility and bring attention to the here and now ultimately improving quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Engagement in the first session will include gauging your comfort level for open discussion as you help me to get to know you better. I'll gather information you provide to better understanding your life experiences and to be able to offer a personalized therapeutic experience unique to you. I welcome questions that you may have for me to help you feel at ease at any time within the process. While focused on improving your emotional stability and wellbeing, we will work together to help you achieve your goals while incorporating techniques to help foster a deeper awareness and self-alignment.
