Great to meet you!

I believe in the healing power of authentic human connection and vulnerability. Therapy is a hard, emotional (and often overwhelming) journey, but it's worth every meaningful step. Because YOU are worth every step.

I am fully committed to supporting clients who are ready to engage and work towards their goals. As a "card carrying member" of the human race, I know the powerful allure of stuffing all the hurt down and trying to ignore it.

We know it won't work, but we keep thinking "it might this time." If you want to try something different, I am here to help you explore that.

My approach to therapy

I love what I do. It may seem simple, and for me it truly is. The mutual hard work AND shared rewards that come from partnering with clients to help "set down" what is no longer serving them... it is an honor to be a part of.

My approach is authentic and non-judgmental, and my goal is to create a safe and compassionate processing space in my therapeutic relationships.

I also foster a "no BS" zone in our work, meaning if you are there to work on your goals, we are both accountable to staying on track with that and getting into the harder stuff when we need to- even when it's not comfortable. I will be in it with you, every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

First sessions can generate a lot of anxiety for folks, regardless of our exposure to therapy in the past. My priority is to get some basic information, review confidentiality, answer any questions you have.

Then we start mapping out the goals I can partner with you to work on, and start diving in!

I do like giving homework assignments at the end of each session that relate directly to what we worked on, and often this homework is more processing/reflecting vs. "paper" homework.
