Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Arlene, a PMHNP. I have 18 years of experience as a nurse in various mental health settings, including inpatient, outpatient, correctional institutions, and Crisis Response Centers. Throughout all of those experiences, they have taught me the importance of mental health, which is what inspired me to further my education in that specialty and become a PMHNP two years ago.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, open-minded, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I believe effective treatment begins with meeting each client where they are and taking the time to understand their individual experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals.

I view you as an active partner in your care. Together, we can explore what you are experiencing, identify areas where you would like support, and consider treatment options that feel appropriate for your needs and circumstances. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being honest about what is going on in your life.

What you can expect from me

During your first appointment, we will discuss your concerns and treatment goals. I will gather information about your medical, mental health, family, and social history, and together decide on your next steps.
