Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Aschel (pronounced like “a shell,” like the beach). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating trauma, eating disorders, and body image concerns. I enjoy helping clients gently connect the dots between past experiences, current patterns, and the goals they want for their lives. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of New England and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I). My background in trauma, art, diversity, and aging has helped me support clients from many different backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

My work is informed by trauma-informed care, Intuitive Eating, and Health at Every Size principles. I aim to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can better understand themselves and the patterns that shape their lives. Together we explore how past experiences connect to present challenges and develop practical tools that support healing, self-compassion, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During the first session we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything right away. The goal of the first session is to help you feel comfortable, begin understanding your story, and start identifying goals for therapy. Many clients come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and the first step is simply having a space to talk openly about what you're going through.
