Great to meet you!

My path into counseling has really been shaped by a heart for serving others and being part of a strong, supportive community. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the United States Marine Corps, which taught me a lot about resilience, responsibility, and how much people quietly carry on their shoulders. Since then, I’ve spent years working in schools, healthcare, and community settings all while growing and caring for my own family. I’ve experienced firsthand the daily balancing act of caring for others while trying to stay grounded myself.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and have supported individuals through anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and crisis situations. I’ve worked closely with children, teens, and families, helping navigate some of their toughest times. I’ve also supported educators, veterans, and others in service-oriented roles, and one thing I’ve seen again and again is how often the “helpers” are the ones going without support.

Many of the people I work with are dependable, capable, and always there for others, but underneath, they may feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected in their relationships. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. In our work together, we’ll create a space where you can breathe a little easier, feel understood, and start reconnecting with what matters most to you.

My approach to therapy

I take a flexible, whole-person approach to therapy, because no two people are exactly the same. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), blending practical tools with deeper emotional work. This helps us not only manage stress and anxiety, but also strengthen the connections and relationships that matter most in your life.

Even if we’re working one-on-one, relationships are still a big part of the process. Together, we can explore ways to build more emotional safety, improve communication, and help you feel more connected and supported both within yourself and with others.

What you can expect from me

When you sit down with me, you can expect a space that feels calm, supportive, and genuinely caring. Therapy doesn’t have to be a place where you have it all figured out or say the “right” things. You can just show up as you are, on the good days and the hard ones.

We’ll work together as a team, moving at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you. My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and understood while we gently sort through what’s been weighing on you. At the same time, I will offer support, encouragement, and gentle challenge when it’s helpful, so you can continue growing and moving forward in a way that feels right for your life.
