Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome.....I'm Ashley Ellison, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I believe that seeking therapy is one of the strongest investments you can make in yourself. Whether you're navigating a difficult life transition, managing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, or simply looking for a safe space to better understand yourself, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Social Work (DSW), with a focus on advancing clinical practice and social work education. Throughout my career, I've worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in community mental health, outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of emotional and behavioral health concerns.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we'll identify your strengths, explore the challenges you're facing, and develop practical strategies to help you reach your goals.

I have experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, stress management, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, life transitions, and mood disorders. I also enjoy helping clients build healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and develop greater confidence in themselves.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be yourself without fear of judgment. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I focus on building a genuine connection and establishing trust from our very first session.

One of the most meaningful pieces of feedback I receive from clients is that they leave their first session feeling like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Many have shared, "I can't believe I told someone I just met all of that." I don't take that trust lightly. My priority is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we'll identify goals that are meaningful to your life, whether that's reducing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, improving relationships, navigating life transitions, increasing self-confidence, or simply finding healthier ways to cope with everyday stress. Throughout our work together, I'll provide a compassionate, collaborative environment where you can gain insight, build practical skills, and feel empowered to create lasting, positive change.
