Great to meet you!

Hiya, my name is Ashley Faucette, I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience in the world of mental and behavioral health. I completed my MSW degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and have continued my education over the years through trainings focusing on treating trauma experiences, the impact of shame emotions, the influence of attachment styles on interpersonal relationships, and the impact of life transitions. My foundations as a clinician are based on the understanding and insight into the complexities of human behavior, and more importantly, the learned knowledge that we as humans possess the capacity for transformation, especially when driven by the genuine desire for change. My areas of focus for therapy include treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, life transitions, relationship issues, attachment issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, and women's issues. I hope to have the opportunity to work with you!

My approach to therapy

I primarily specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, but of course I am happy to work with anyone who feels ready to begin their path to transformation. I am always flexible in my approach to therapy depending on my clients' needs, modalities I engage with include behavioral based therapies, solution-focused therapy, trauma focused therapy, person-centered therapy, gender-affirming care, mindfulness based therapy, and somatic therapy. My style as a therapist is to be warm, friendly, and approachable in order to first focus on developing a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship. I will never be the therapist that tells you I know what is best and to do exactly as I say; my role is to educate, motivate, collaborate, and empower you to achieve your goals.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a safe, judgement free space for my clients, where you can expect to feel comfortable, heard, and validated. Expect to collaborate and create goals together so that we can monitor progress and determine if we have achieved meaningful outcomes. My hope is that you leave each of our sessions feeling understood, hopeful, and motivated.
