I am a dual-certified primary care and psychiatric nurse practitioner. I take a biopsychosocial approach to care and recognize that physical health and mental health are closely intertwined and influenced by social and environmental factors.
An initial psychiatric evaluation is usually between 1-1.5 hours long. We will use this time to learn more about you and your experiences as well as explore factors that help to tailor medications specific to your needs. Follow up visits are generally 30min and consist of discussing medications, brief therapeutic interventions and lifestyle interventions to support your overall well being.
