Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 16 years of experience supporting individuals through some of life’s most difficult and overwhelming moments. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, grief, major life transitions, relationship challenges, and other mental health concerns.

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re used to handling everything on your own or being the person everyone else depends on. My goal is to create a space where you can put some of that weight down, feel heard without judgment, and focus on you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—we can figure it out together.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. My approach is warm, collaborative, supportive, and tailored to the individual sitting in front of me. I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I take time to understand who you are, what you’ve experienced, what matters to you, and what you hope will be different in your life.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while also using a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. Together, we may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors; identify what may be keeping you stuck; develop practical coping skills; and build on the strengths you already have.

I also believe there is room for laughter, personality, and authenticity in therapy. Therapy can involve difficult conversations, but every session does not have to feel heavy. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself in the room.

What you can expect from me

You can expect me to show up as a therapist who is compassionate, genuine, engaged, and nonjudgmental. I will listen, but I won’t just listen. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns, offer different perspectives, teach practical strategies, celebrate your progress, and respectfully challenge you when it may help you grow.

You can also expect therapy to move at a pace that feels appropriate for you. I recognize that trust takes time, and you will never be expected to share something simply because you walked into a therapy session.

Most importantly, I want our work together to help you understand yourself more deeply, recognize your strengths, develop healthier ways of navigating challenges, and create meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room. My role isn’t to tell you how to live your life—it’s to help you feel more confident and equipped to create the life you want for yourself.
