Great to meet you!

My journey into mental health began in the classroom. I started my career as an elementary school teacher, and I quickly noticed that children were bringing me their worries long before they brought me their homework. That experience led me to pursue dual-track graduate training in both community counseling and school counseling at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and I have spent the past 15 years working in the mental health field. Today, I provide crisis intervention in a hospital emergency department alongside my private practice work, where I specialize in serving children, adolescents, teenagers, and young adults.

My approach to therapy

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy to meet each client where they are. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of real change, so I work to build a space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and genuinely safe. Whether we are working through adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, anger, or behavioral challenges, my goal is to help you develop the tools and self-awareness to navigate life with more confidence.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, you can expect honesty, empathy, and a partnership built entirely around you and your goals. I believe that no one should have to face the struggles of life alone, and I bring that conviction into every session. I look forward to seeing if we are a good fit.
