Great to meet you!

I have training and experience working with children/adolescents, individuals, and families struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and/or stressor-related disorders, parent-child conflict, behavioral disturbances, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, post-partum challenges, and self-harm/NSSIB. I have experience in crisis de-escalation/stabilization, assessing suicidal/homicidal risk, and collaborative safety planning.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a trauma-informed, solution-focused, person-centered approach to treatment with an emphasis on providing empathy, unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and maintaining a non-judgmental stance. I utilize CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing techniques/strategies to assist with achieving goals/objectives.

What you can expect from me

We will work together to identify personal goals and objectives specific to your symptoms and expressed wants/needs. Typically, the first couple of sessions will consist of information gathering, treatment planning, and rapport building. The frequency of sessions is based on level of severity. Treatment duration is generally six months to a year.
