Great to meet you!

Welcome! As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I'm here to step inside the emotional trenches of life with you. My goal is to lean in and help you find your strengths, identify your needs, and grow in your relationships. My professional background includes working within both school and private practice settings, with a specialized focus on attachment, parenting struggles, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and relationships. Challenging seasons of life are best navigated when you have a little extra support by your side.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach blends traditional talk therapy with expressive, hands- on interventions. Putting your thoughts into words maybe exactly what you're needing one day. On another day it could create unnecessary pressure to say the "right" thing and ultimately leave you feeling stuck. By shifting towards activities like journaling, art, sand tray, or other creative exercises, you can access your feelings and build insight that you may have found difficult to do with words alone.

I compare it to the feeling of finally sitting down after standing all day. The pressure to work hard is suddenly relieved, and your mind and body finally have a chance to settle into a different rhythm.

What you can expect from me

Imagine our first session as an opportunity for connection. We'll collaborate together to establish goals, discuss what's bringing you in (however much you feel comfortable sharing), and you'll gain more clarity on what to expect from therapy in the future. Finding the right therapist can feel like an overwhelming task, so by the end of our first session hopefully you gain more clarity and direction for what you need on your healing journey.
