Great to meet you!

I am an experienced board certified clinical social worker and a graduate of the University of Michigan. I have practiced social work since the 1980s. The intervention I utilize is cognitive behavior therapy for anxiety and depression. I am also skilled in substance abuse counseling.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, it is very important to allow clients to become stronger in managing their responses to life events. We will learn what outcomes you want and work on the skills you need to achieve those results. For example, decreasing feelings of helplessness, shame and guilt can help you to be more effective in addressing life's unexpected crises. As a cognitive behavior oriented therapist, I look forward to helping you change the negative thoughts and feelings that lead to anxiety and depression. You will love the new ease you feel in getting through difficult times.

What you can expect from me

The most noticeable effect of therapy with me is that you will feel relieved, energized, and peaceful by learning how to change your approach to conflicts so you can spend more time on enjoyable tasks.
