Great to meet you!

You've been doing your thing, haven't you? Working, building, caring for others, making things happen. From the outside, life may look pretty good. But behind the scenes? Whew. Some days, it's a lot.

Maybe you're the nurse who spends her days caring for everyone else. The businesswoman making big moves but struggling to find peace at home. The young woman trying to figure out who she is and what she really wants. Or maybe you've accomplished things you once dreamed about, yet something still feels off.

I see you.

And I'm here to help -- I'm Ayana!

Most of my clients affectionately call me Ms. Ayana.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience and degrees from Duke University and Smith College. I help women navigate anxiety, stress, relationships, and life's transitions.

You don't have to have it all figured out. But if you're ready for things to feel different, we may be a good fit.

My approach to therapy

I'm not the therapist who's going to sit quietly, nod, and ask, "How does that make you feel?" for an entire hour.

We're going to talk. Really talk.

We'll look at what's happening in your life, what's getting in your way, and what you might be doing that's no longer serving you. Sometimes that means unpacking old patterns. Other times, it's learning to set a boundary, manage your anxiety, or stop giving so much energy to things you can't control.

My style is warm, honest, practical, and collaborative. We'll laugh sometimes. I'll ask the questions that make you think. And yes, I may lovingly call you on your stuff.

But here's the thing: I'm not here to live your life for you. I'm here to help you feel better equipped to live it yourself.

You bring your willingness. I'll bring my experience. We'll work together to make things better.

What you can expect from me

First, you can exhale. You don't have to impress me, have the perfect words, or figure out where to begin.

We'll start with what's bringing you here. What's been going on? What's weighing on you? And perhaps most importantly, what would you like to be different?

I'll ask questions, listen, and help us begin connecting the dots. We'll talk about what you've already tried, what's working, what's not, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

You'll also get a feel for me and how I work. Therapy is a relationship, and I believe finding the right fit matters.

My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, with a little more clarity about what we're working toward.

You don't need to have it all together. Just be willing to show up for yourself. We'll take it from there.
