Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience providing therapy, supervision, and clinical leadership. I am warm, honest, and easy to talk to, and I balance deep empathy with gentle, straightforward feedback. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive, and I honor your story, your background, and your faith if you choose to include it. Many of my clients have spent years being “the strong one” for everyone else, so in our work together, you get to put that role down and just be human. I see therapy as a partnership, and we’ll work together to define what healing and peace look like for you and take practical steps toward it.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and focused on real-life change—not perfection, but direction. I blend evidence-based practices (like CBT, solution-focused, and trauma-informed care) with practical tools you can actually use between sessions. I will listen deeply, reflect patterns, and give gentle but honest feedback to help you gain clarity, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with your authentic self. I honor the whole person—your story,—and we move at a pace that feels safe but still forward. Together, we’ll define what healing and peace look like for you and take intentional steps to get there.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we slow down and focus on you—not just your problems, but your story. I’ll ask some gentle, structured questions about what brought you to therapy, your history, and what you’d like to see change, while making sure you don’t feel rushed or pressured to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll start identifying your main concerns, strengths, and goals, and I’ll explain how I work so you know what to expect going forward. You’re welcome to ask me questions, share any worries about therapy, and tell me what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. By the end of the session, we’ll have a shared plan for next steps and a sense of whether I feel like the right fit for you.
