Great to meet you!

I work with people who are tired of circling the same problems.

You’ve tried setting boundaries. Worked on your self-esteem. Read the books. Analyzed yourself. Maybe you’ve already been in therapy.

You know a lot. You try hard. And still, you second-guess yourself. Stay too long in situations that don’t feel right. Feel guilty when someone is upset with you. Struggle to speak up. Get pulled back into the same relationship patterns.

That’s the work I care about most.

I’m a trauma therapist, but you don’t need to have a dramatic trauma story to work with me. Sometimes what shaped us was quieter: emotional neglect, relationships where there wasn’t much room for us, learning to keep the peace, or becoming very good at taking care of everyone except ourselves.

Those patterns didn’t come from nowhere. They made sense somewhere.

My job is to help you understand why they’re still showing up—and then help you change what keeps happening.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is warm, direct, and collaborative.

I ask questions. I notice patterns. I make connections. I’ll tell you what I’m seeing, and we’ll figure things out together.

We’ll pay attention to the places where what you know and what you feel don’t quite match.

You can know you deserve better and still stay.

Know you aren’t responsible for someone else’s feelings and still feel guilty when they’re upset.

Know you’re safe and still feel anxious.

Understand exactly where your self-doubt came from and still hear that old voice telling you not to trust yourself.

That’s why our work goes beyond insight.

Sometimes we’ll talk through what is happening in your life now. Sometimes we’ll slow things down and look underneath the reaction—to the belief, emotion, memory, or nervous-system response driving it. And when it fits, we can use EMDR to process experiences that still feel unfinished.

The goal isn’t simply to understand the pattern better. It’s to loosen its grip.

What you can expect from me

I’m not especially interested in helping you become better at managing the same problem over and over again.

I want us to understand why it keeps happening.

Why you keep doubting yourself even when your judgment is good. Why guilt shows up the moment you set a boundary. Why you stay when part of you knows something isn’t right. Why certain situations seem to bring out a reaction that feels much bigger than the moment itself.

Coping skills have their place. Sometimes we need ways to feel steadier while we do deeper work. But I don’t want therapy to stop there.

I want to help you get closer to the source so that, over time, you don’t have to work quite so hard against yourself.

Change can look surprisingly ordinary: trusting your own judgment. Speaking up sooner. Leaving sooner. Feeling less responsible for everyone else. Setting a boundary without spending the rest of the day questioning it. Choosing relationships because they’re healthy, not simply because they’re familiar.

And gradually feeling more solid in who you are.
