Great to meet you!

I'm Baruch Glazer, an LCSW specializing in depth-oriented therapy with young adults navigating authenticity, meaning, and identity.

My Journey

I struggled with anxiety and depression for years before I discovered therapy. What changed everything wasn't symptom management—it was depth. Learning to actually understand myself, to sit with discomfort instead of optimize it away, to accept myself differently. That depth-oriented work didn't just ease my symptoms. It helped me become someone I'm proud of.

That experience fundamentally shapes how I work with clients.

My approach to therapy

I work from an existential and psychodynamic approach, grounded in theorists like Viktor Frankl and Irvin Yalom. The philosophy is straightforward: your depression and anxiety aren't just problems to solve. They're often signals—invitations to examine whether you're living an authentic life, aligned with your actual values instead of inherited expectations.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversational assessment. We're not following a rigid form—we're talking.

I'll ask about your history, what brought you here, what you're carrying. You'll learn how I work, my style, what to expect from therapy with me. I'm direct but safe. I won't pathologize you or pretend there are quick answers. I will listen closely and take you seriously.

We'll discuss how therapy actually works—not the Hollywood version, but the real work of showing up, being honest, sitting with discomfort. I'll be clear about my approach: depth-oriented, existential, psychodynamic. If that doesn't land for you, we can talk about it.
