Great to meet you!

Finding the right mental health provider is an important step toward feeling better, and you deserve care that is compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and the founder of Calm Horizons Behavioral Health LLC. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy through secure telehealth appointments for adults across Florida, Virginia, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Washington.

I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma-related conditions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, insomnia, stress, and other mood disorders. Whether you're experiencing symptoms for the first time or have been managing a condition for years, I work collaboratively with you to develop an individualized treatment plan that reflects your goals, lifestyle, and values.

My approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and understood in a safe, judgment-free environment. Together, we'll focus on reducing symptoms, improving emotional wellness, strengthening resilience, and helping you regain confidence in your daily life.

At Calm Horizons Behavioral Health, we are committed to making high-quality psychiatric care accessible through convenient virtual appointments, flexible scheduling, and timely follow-up care. If you're looking for a trusted psychiatric provider for ADHD treatment, anxiety, depression, medication management, or comprehensive mental health care, I welcome the opportunity to partner with you on your journey toward lasting wellness and a calmer tomorrow.

My approach to therapy

As a PMHNP, my approach to providing care is:

1. Patient-Centered & Collaborative

I believe in working with you, not just for you. Your mental health journey is unique, and my role is to guide, support, and empower you in making informed decisions about your care.

2. Holistic & Whole-Person Focused

Mental health is deeply connected to physical health, lifestyle, relationships, and environment. I consider all these factors when developing your treatment plan, not just your symptoms.

3. Evidence-Based & Individualized Treatment

Whether it’s medication management, therapy techniques, or lifestyle changes, I use research-backed treatments tailored to your specific needs, preferences, and goals.

4. Trauma-Informed & Non-Judgmental

I provide a safe and supportive space where you can openly share without fear of judgment. I recognize how past experiences, including trauma, can impact mental health and ensure care is sensitive to your needs.

5. Education & Empowerment

I want you to understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and coping strategies so that you can feel confident in managing your mental well-being. My goal is to provide the knowledge and tools you need to thrive.

6. A Balance of Therapy & Medication (If Needed)

While I can prescribe medications, I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. We’ll explore all options, including therapy, mindfulness, and lifestyle adjustments, to create the best plan for you.

Ultimately, my approach is about building a trusting partnership where you feel heard, respected, and supported in achieving your mental health goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an important step in your mental health journey. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive space where we can begin understanding your needs and working toward a treatment plan that fits you. By the end of our session, you should expect to take away:

  • A Clear Understanding of Our Process – I’ll explain how our sessions will work, what telehealth visits involve, and how we can best communicate moving forward.
  • An Initial Assessment of Your Mental Health – We’ll discuss your symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and any challenges you’re facing. This helps me understand your unique situation.
  • A Collaborative Treatment Plan – Together, we’ll explore possible next steps, which may include therapy recommendations, medication options (if appropriate), or lifestyle strategies to support your mental health.
  • Answers to Your Questions – This session is your time to ask anything on your mind. I want you to leave feeling heard, informed, and comfortable with the next steps.
  • A Plan for Follow-Up Care – We’ll discuss how often we should meet, what to expect in future sessions, and any next steps before our next appointment.

Most importantly, my goal is for you to leave feeling supported and hopeful about the path ahead. I look forward to working with you!
