Great to meet you!

I'm open to working with anyone. I pursued a career in counseling because I genuinely enjoy helping people feel better and found that I was pretty good at it. People come to counseling for many different reasons, including work-related concerns, relationship and marriage problems, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, and difficult life decisions.

I also have a strong connection to public safety personnel. My own background includes serving as a deputy sheriff, firefighter, EMT, 911 dispatcher, armed guard, and US Navy Reserve member. That experience gives me a firsthand understanding of some of the unique experiences and challenges that can come with public safety work.

My approach to therapy

During sessions, I work with clients to recognize their strengths, identify resources they already have available, and develop new solutions to the challenges they are facing. I also provide practical, evidence-based strategies and skills to address concerns and conditions that arise during our discussions. My goal is to help clients build on what is already working while developing new tools to move forward.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for you to tell your story. As your clinician, I’ll listen for recurring themes, concerns, and potential psychological diagnoses that can help inform our treatment planning.
