Great to meet you!

My name is Ben, and I have been working with outcasts, misfits, and high-achievers for many years. My professional background includes work in a homeless shelter, before spending a number of years as a therapist connected to elementary, middle, and high school settings. Through this work, I've come to appreciate the complexities that come along with all stages of life. Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself or a child/adolescent in your life, I am happy to help.

My approach to therapy

I tend to focus on a client's core values and interests. I pride myself on integrating narrative based techniques with my own insatiable curiosity for whatever niche fandom or expressive interest my clients enjoy!

What you can expect from me

You can expect that our first session will involve getting to know each other, allowing you to ask about me while I walk you through the process of therapy and seek to know more about your goals and aspirations. I often leave my first few sessions with the self-imposed homework of checking out a client's favorite movie, tv show, book, or podcast. This comes in handy when we get into the process of therapy and I can draw on a shared interest as we develop language for the concepts and ideas we are exploring together.
