Great to meet you!

Hello! I have spent most of my career working in substance abuse, couples counseling, and severe mental illness. I consider myself a very direct therapist, I will not ask "how does that make you feel" for years as then I would need therapy! I am highly engaged in the therapeutic process and consider therapy a dialogue rather than a monologue by the client. This approach works wonderfully for some, and not so much for others. If this sounds like it would be a good fit feel free to schedule and see if I would be a good match for you! I'm a big believer that in order for therapy to work, you have to like your therapist, so if for some reason you don't feel we are a good match I will happily refer you to someone who you feel works better for you.

My approach to therapy

I work primarily through solution focused and reality therapy, but have tools in many different modalities. My belief is to meet the client where they are and use the tools that work for them rather than staying in one specific framework.

What you can expect from me

My goals for clients are whatever their goals are, and I will use whatever tools they find useful to achieve them! I try and create an environment for my clients that is safe, open, and non judgemental while still allowing for guidance in the areas the client states are important for them.
