Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Beren Karlson, LCSW. I have been in practice over 5 years, specializing in working with individuals impacted by trauma, depression, anxiety, and stress. I believe mental health treatment should feel safe, supportive, challenging, and sometimes fun.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Using ACT, CBT, or DBT, I believe in tailoring the therapeutic approach to each client to best meet each clients unique goals. Combining talk therapy with skills coaching helps clients better understand their own mental health, while feeling empowered to charge of the mental wellbeing. I am an expert in clinical interventions and skills, but YOU are the expert on you- making this a team effort.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients will walk away feeling confident and empowered to create and accomplish their own goals. By providing a safe and validating space, clients learn how their brain works, and why, and how to use skills to maintain their mental wellbeing. Clients will improve their relationships with self-care and self-compassion to ensure the longevity of gains made in treatment.
