Great to meet you!

I am a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s story and strengths.

I integrate evidence-based practices—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Family Systems approaches—with a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, and move toward lasting change.

I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship or family conflict, grief, identity transitions, and the effects of trauma. I also have extensive experience supporting people from diverse cultural and family backgrounds who are balancing multiple roles, expectations, and life transitions.

Clients often describe me as compassionate, down-to-earth, and empowering. Together, we’ll focus on uncovering your resilience, improving communication and connection, and finding practical strategies for growth and healing—so you can live with greater confidence, balance, and purpose.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and culturally responsive. I believe that each person already possesses strengths, wisdom, and resilience—and that therapy provides a supportive space to rediscover and build upon them.

I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Family Systems Theory, while also integrating trauma-informed and culturally grounded practices. This means I tailor each session to fit your unique experiences, values, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.

My work focuses on helping clients increase self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and find practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, and life transitions. I pay close attention to the impact of culture, identity, and community—recognizing how these shape how we think, feel, and relate to others.

Ultimately, I see therapy as a partnership. My role is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered as you work toward healing, balance, and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust and understanding. You’ll have the opportunity to share what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the process, and any concerns or questions you might have.

I’ll ask a few guiding questions to learn more about your background, relationships, current challenges, and goals. This helps me understand your unique experiences and tailor our work together to fit your needs. You’re always welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to cover everything right away.

We’ll also talk through what therapy looks like, including session structure, confidentiality, and how we’ll measure progress. By the end of the session, we’ll collaborate on a plan for moving forward that feels comfortable and aligned with your goals.

Most importantly, the first session is about creating a safe, supportive space where you can begin to feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next steps in your healing journey.
