Great to meet you!

My interest in mental health began during my military service as a Survival Instructor in the United States Airforce. During this time, I had the privilege of teaching students from all walks of life the skills to survive in any environment. I became fascinated with human behavior, stress management/responses and the profound capabilities of the mind, body and spirit when faced with adversity. While navigating through the wilderness, a waypoint is defined as "a stop along ones journey." It is a safe place where the traveler can take shelter, rest, gain insight on where they've been, accept and honor where they are, and determine their way forward. It's a place for healing. This is what I strive to provide for my clients. I completed my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Northwestern University. I have experience counseling couples, teens, adult individuals, and groups. As an Airforce veteran, I have a passion for serving military members and their families. Other interests include working with blended families, and LGBTQ+ individuals and their parents

My approach to therapy

My priority as a therapist is to create a space where my clients feel safe, respected, and protected. I believe that healing begins in an environment where trust and clear boundaries allow genuine self-exploration to unfold. I am deeply committed to maintaining the integrity of the professional relationship so that my clients always know they are cared for within a structure that keeps them emotionally secure.

My approach is collaborative and whole-person centered, recognizing that each individual’s experiences, history, and strengths are interconnected. I help clients work toward lasting healing and meaningful change by integrating evidence-based methods such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), attachment-based approaches, and guided self-exploration. Together, we uncover the patterns that keep clients feeling stuck, process past experiences that continue to impact the present, and build tools for greater emotional balance and resilience.

Ultimately, my goal is to help clients not just manage their pain, but to heal, grow, and reconnect with their authentic selves in a way that endures beyond the therapy room

What you can expect from me

Our first session is focused on building safety and trust. I want you to feel comfortable, respected, and clear about the boundaries and structure of our work together. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, exploring the challenges you’re facing, and identifying your goals for healing and growth. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
