Great to meet you!

If worry and dread have left you exhausted, or depression feels like a weight you're carrying alone, you don't have to carry it by yourself. I'm Betsy, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience creating a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients. I work with depression, anxiety, trauma, women's issues, and life transitions including divorce and military or first-responder stress. I'd love to help you tell your story and move toward healing.

My approach to therapy

I'm passionate about helping clients resolve conflict, build healthy coping strategies, and strengthen communication in their relationships. My approach blends empathy, curiosity, and active listening with evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together we'll build healthier patterns of thinking and relating, strengthen resilience, and create lasting change, with attention to the mind-body connection that helps you heal and thrive.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you'll feel safe, respected, and heard, it's normal to feel nervous starting therapy. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical: we'll use real tools like boundary-setting and nervous-system regulation you can use right away, not just talk in circles. We'll move at your pace, focusing on what brought you in and what you want from our work together. Questions or concerns along the way are always welcome.
