Great to meet you!

I was born to be a therapist — regardless of where I am, people tell me their story. I'm down-to-earth, and I believe therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free place where you can be honest, laugh when you need to, and have the hard conversations when they're necessary. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, in both school-based and outpatient settings, and I have particular experience with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and ADHD, as well as with adoptive and foster families. Whatever brought you here, I'll meet you where you are and tailor our work to what actually feels helpful for you.

My approach to therapy

I'm trained in a wide variety of techniques and modalities, but no two people are alike, so I don't believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. I tailor our work to your needs, goals, personality, and whatever feels most helpful to you — sometimes that means a more structured, goal-focused approach, and other times it looks more conversational and relaxed. For trauma, I'm trained in EMDR and other trauma-focused approaches that help your brain actually process painful experiences rather than just talk around them. For couples I draw on the Gottman Method, and for families and younger clients I use play therapy and parent-child approaches that strengthen the relationship itself.

What you can expect from me

Come as you are! You don't have to have everything figured out before you come to therapy — you can show up exactly as you are: messy, overwhelmed, uncertain, frustrated, or just plain stuck. You never have to pretend to have it all together with me. In our first session we'll talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping will feel different, and I'll spend most of the time getting to know you. I know counseling feels intimidating for a lot of people, and that's completely normal — but I've never seen someone regret taking that first step toward relief.
