Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Bobbi Jo Hamilton, LICSW. I provide telehealth therapy for women across Minnesota and North Dakota.

I specialize in helping women navigate trauma, PTSD, anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, depression, neurodivergence, chronic illness, chronic pain, and life transitions. Many of my clients are highly capable and caring people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and body-centered. I integrate somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and evidence-based practices to help clients better understand themselves, reconnect with their bodies, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Together, we'll work at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable, building self-trust, resilience, and practical tools to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and body-centered. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and listen to the wisdom of the body.

I integrate somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and evidence-based practices to support healing from trauma, anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, life transitions, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and chronic pain. Together, we explore how past experiences, emotions, and stress patterns may be showing up in your body and daily life, building awareness, resilience, and self-trust along the way.

I work at a pace that honors your nervous system, lived experience, and individual needs. Therapy with me is not about fixing what is wrong with you. It is about creating safety, capacity, and choice so you can reconnect with yourself and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our first telehealth session, my priority is creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. We'll spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you're hoping to gain from our work together.

I’ll ask questions about your history, relationships, strengths, and current stressors while moving at a pace that feels manageable for you. There is no expectation to share everything during the first session. Building trust and understanding your unique experience is more important than rushing into difficult topics.

You can also expect to learn a little about how I work, including my body-centered, nervous system-informed approach to therapy. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and creating a path forward that feels realistic, supportive, and aligned with your needs.

Many clients leave their first session feeling relieved to have a place where they can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what they've been carrying.
