Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Boniery, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) with over 15 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges and step into their fullest potential. A proud Bronx native now based in Charlotte, NC, I bring a little New York energy and a whole lot of heart to everything I do. I hold a Master of Arts in Licensed Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Carlow University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Licensed in NC, SC, GA, and AZ. and also Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist licensed by the North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board. I have been serving adults and families for the past 16 years.

My approach to therapy

I'm the kind of counselor who will meet you exactly where you are, no judgment, no pressure, just genuine care and a real commitment to walking this journey with you.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation, not a clinical transaction. In our work together, I'll meet you where you are, moving at your pace, honoring your story, and helping you tap into the strengths and resources you already carry within you.

Whether you come in with a clear goal or just a feeling that something needs to change, I'll help you make sense of it. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I'm not here to tell you what to do. I'm here to help you figure out what feels true and right for you, and then support you in getting there.

I create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and judgment-free, because healing happens when you feel truly comfortable being yourself.

What you can expect from me

What I Bring to Our Work

Compassionate Presence: You'll feel seen, heard, and valued from the start. I approach every person with deep empathy and a sincere belief in your inherent worth and dignity. You don't have to have it all figured out to show up here.

Collaborative Partnership: Therapy isn't something I do to you, it's something we do together. Your insights, preferences, and goals shape everything we work on, and we'll co-create a plan that feels meaningful and right for you.

Strength-Based Perspective: I focus on what's working in you, not just what isn't. By identifying and building on your existing strengths and resilience, we create a foundation for lasting, positive change.

Evidence-Based Tools: I draw on proven approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and motivational strategies, to give you practical, real-world skills you can use well beyond our sessions.

Authentic Connection: I show up as myself, real, warm, and genuine, and I encourage you to do the same. You'll never feel like just a case file here. I truly care about the people I work with.

Purposeful Support: I'll gently challenge you to explore new perspectives, question limiting beliefs, and stretch beyond your comfort zone, always with encouragement, care, and a steady presence by your side.

My Promise to You

Above all, I believe in you and in your capacity to heal, grow, and build a life aligned with your values and purpose. Whatever brought you here, whether it's a specific struggle or simply a quiet sense that you deserve more, I'm glad you came.

You don't have to carry this alone. Let's work together to create comfort, uncover your resources, and make real meaning in your life. I'm here, and I've got you.
