Great to meet you!

I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling (Rehabilitation) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I believe meaningful change happens when individuals feel empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace.

I draw from evidence-based practices to help clients build insight, develop healthier coping strategies, and strengthen emotional regulation skills. My work focuses on meeting clients where they are and supporting them through challenges related to mental health, substance use, relationships, and life transitions.

Above all, I aim to foster a strong therapeutic relationship that encourages growth, self-awareness, and sustainable progress toward each client’s goals.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive space where we begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and any relevant personal or mental health history. This helps me better understand your needs and what you hope to gain from counseling.

You don’t need to have everything figured out—this session is about starting the process at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also talk about what therapy may look like moving forward and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and achievable to you.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and clear about the next steps.
