Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, not like you have to walk into the room with the “right” words or have everything figured out.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), and my style is warm, open-minded, down-to-earth, and focused on helping you move forward in ways that actually make sense for your life.

I work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, stress, major life transitions, grief and reproductive loss, postpartum challenges, relationship and family concerns, and the unique pressures experienced by military families. I also incorporate nature-based and outdoor therapy when appropriate, because sometimes the traditional office setting simply isn’t where people feel most comfortable opening up.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard without judgment, supported while still being challenged to grow, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come in. That’s part of what we can figure out together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to the person in front of me. I don’t believe therapy should feel like someone is simply listening and sending you on your way. We’ll work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving you, and find realistic ways to create change.

I believe in meeting people where they are while also helping them move toward where they want to be. Depending on your needs, our work may include building coping skills, changing unhelpful thought or behavior patterns, strengthening relationships, processing difficult experiences, or simply creating space to understand yourself better.

When appropriate, I also incorporate nature and the outdoors as another way to support grounding, reflection, and meaningful conversation.

What you can expect from me

Your first session isn’t a test, and you don’t need to prepare the perfect explanation of why you’re here. We’ll start with a conversation about what’s been going on, what brought you to therapy, and what you’d like to be different.

I’ll ask questions to help me understand you and your situation, but there’s no expectation that you share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while beginning to identify what you need and what we can work toward together.

My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, a little more hopeful, and with a clearer sense of where we go from here.
