Great to meet you!
Welcome! I am a mother to six children ranging in ages 26 to 10. One in college and serving in the National Guard and one who just finished serving her country and four still keeping me running in circles. I am also a Combat medic Army veteran having served all over the world including beautiful Afghanistan. Before I would join the military, I was a 9th grade high school drop-out and emancipated at age 16. Literally born on the floor of a home in Florida, I am no stranger to adversity and resiliency. It was the military that showed me a new way of life and possibilities. After completing the coursework to catch up from that drop out I started to notice that helping others get to the root of their challenges gave me hope. I was inspired by those around me also seeking to change, make a better life for themselves or sometimes just work out the kinks we all have. It was then I decided to go back to school with six children to attain my licenses needed to become a psychotherapist. In the past I have worked with trauma survivors and through this and my own life I have come to realize that one person can change the trajectory of a person’s life. If I can be that one person, to listen empathically in a space in which you feel seen and heard, I’ve met the mark. And if I don’t make the mark- I’m so laid back I don’t mind being told. You are the expert of your own life and I am inspired by the resilience we see in humans when it seems impossible.
