Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Bre. I'm so glad you're here. Seeking help can be a difficult process filled with uncertainty. Because therapy is a reciprocal process, rooted in a trusting relationship between client and therapist, knowing who is walking alongside you is crucial in establishing that relationship.

So, who am I? Most importantly, I am mother to a beautiful 8yo human and my furry companion, Bobo. I have walked the path of divorce and coparenting, experienced sudden parental loss as a child, and faced my own challenges with mental health. I am a minimal effort nature enthusiast (think birding and hammocking), and believe in the healing power of the natural world. I’m here to tell you that whatever you are going through, you don’t have to do it alone.

Professionally, I am a Maryland-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Willowstone Counseling LLC. With over five years working in child welfare and complex family systems, I have experience supporting individuals and families in crisis while navigating trauma, life transitions, and adverse childhood experiences. This work has shaped my belief that healing is not about “fixing,” but about creating space for empowerment, resilience, and growth. I believe growth happens once there is established sense of safety, collaboration, and genuine human connection.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in a deep commitment to fostering wellness through meaningful connection to self, others, and the natural world. Whether meeting virtually, outdoors for walk-and-talks, or sessions in your home, my approach to supporting others is person-centered and holistic, guided by curiosity, compassion, and respect for each individual’s unique circumstances. I hope to create a therapeutic space where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to be present every day. I offer trauma responsive and nature-informed clinical therapy for children, adults, and families in individual and group settings for short-term, or long-term care. Using a wide range of therapy modalities, I aim to use my clinical skills to facilitate the changes you hope to see for your life in a way that works best for you or your family.

What you can expect from me

During our first few sessions, the focus is to start building a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship Together we will explore your hopes for therapy and discuss any concerns you may have. I may offer clinical direction when helpful or follow your lead with gentle guidance. Each therapy journey is unique, and we’ll move at a pace that feels supportive and meaningful for you.
