Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Mental Health Professional and State of Minnesota Board-Approved Supervisor, I bring specialized training in Trauma, ADHD, DBT, CBT, EMDR, and Sand Tray Therapy. In addition, 30 years experience as a therapist and ordained minister has afforded me the privilege of walking with individuals through intense seasons of struggle and guiding them toward strength and renewal. It would be an honor to walk alongside you in your journey, offering support, insight, and empowerment as you move toward healing and growth.

I am seasoned in treating Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Addictions, Marital and Family Issues, Adolescent challenges, Suicidality, Attachment Issues, Bipolar, Personality Disorders, Abuse, and Boundary Issues. I have specialized training in EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy, DBT and Advanced Graduate Education in Theology. I am well-versed working with ages 13-73.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or have an urgent need for change, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I offer an authentic, supportive space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and become empowered with proven behavioral health treatments. If you’d like to see whether working together feels like a good fit, I welcome you to reach out.

My approach to therapy

Often people come to therapy wanting change and are unaware of what the real problem is. As a result, they may spend a great deal of effort on changing, the wrong things. My approach to therapy is affirming, validating which fosters greater awareness and acceptance of ourselves and our problems. Once we have greater and accurate awareness, along with acceptance, then empowering people towards adjustments and change is likely to occur and remain.

What you can expect from me

I appreciate that coming to therapy can feel daunting and it can take a lot just to get to that first session. So, I prefer to get to know one another, allow people to ask questions and share whatever they want in the first session. Usually, I am able to get a sense of client needs, discuss this with them and lay out the course of therapy and the immediate next steps.
