Great to meet you!

I have extensive experience supporting clients facing depression, trauma, anxiety, substance use concerns, interpersonal conflict, and challenges within family systems. I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology to help clients build insight, develop practical skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change. My therapeutic style is collaborative and grounded in real-world application—I work alongside clients to identify goals and empower them with tools that promote autonomy, resilience, and well-being.

I hold a master’s degree in education with a focus on community counseling, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology. In addition to direct clinical work, I have extensive experience providing supervision and program oversight for therapists, interns, clinical trainees, substance use counselors, case managers, and mental health practitioners across diverse community and insitutional environments.

My practice is rooted in equity, cultural humility, and a deep respect for the diverse multicultural backgrounds of the individuals I serve. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, supported, and encouraged as they move toward their personal goals and overall growth.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients in a collaborative, practical, and forward-focused way. My style is grounded, supportive, and goal-oriented—I believe in meeting clients where they are while actively helping them move toward where they want to be. I take time to understand how each person perceives their situation, what they find meaningful, and what they hope to change or achieve. Together, we identify clear, realistic goals and develop a plan that promotes progress rather than staying stuck in the past.

Clinically, I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, family-system challenges, and interpersonal conflict. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and a strong understanding of family systems to help clients build insight and practical skills. My approach emphasizes autonomy, empowerment, and culturally informed care.

Whether we are addressing long-standing patterns or immediate stressors, I focus on helping clients create meaningful, sustainable change through understanding, accountability, and encouragement. My goal is to offer a therapeutic space where clients feel respected, supported, and motivated as they move toward their identified goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, collaborative, and down-to-earth conversation focused on understanding their unique experiences and needs. I take time to learn how you perceive your situation, what feels most important right now, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we identify clear goals for treatment and begin outlining a practical path forward.

My approach is focused on moving toward growth rather than remaining stuck in the past. While we will acknowledge the experiences that have shaped you, our work will center on building insight, skills, and strategies that support meaningful progress in the present. Clients often leave the first session with a sense of direction, reassurance, and a clearer understanding of how we can work together to support positive change.
