Great to meet you!

If you're reading this, something has probably been weighing on you for a while — the late-night anxiety, the drinking that started as a way to cope, or the sense that you're holding it together for everyone but yourself. As a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) and Addiction Counselor, I work with adults navigating recovery, anxiety, depression, trauma, and the major life transitions that shake everything loose — career changes, divorce, grief, new parenthood, or simply realizing your old ways of coping aren't working anymore. Many of the people I see look high-functioning on the outside and feel exhausted underneath. Maybe you've been told you're "fine," or you've gotten good at pushing through — but the stress, the PTSD, the panic, or the substance use keeps pulling you back. You don't have to keep white-knuckling it alone. My job is to be a steady, honest presence while you sort through what's really going on and decide what you want your life to look like next.

My approach to therapy

You're not a checklist, and I won't hand you a one-size-fits-all plan. Our work together is collaborative, warm, and focused on real, measurable progress — we'll name what you want to change and build a path to get there at a pace that fits you. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and match the method to the person: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for anxiety, depression, and overwhelming emotions; EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and PTSD; Motivational Interviewing and recovery- and relapse-prevention work for substance use; and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and behavioral strategies for stress, sleep, and day-to-day change. With younger clients and families I also use play-based and family-centered work. Sessions are practical and grounded — we set clear goals, track what's working, and adjust together. I'm not here to "fix" you. I believe you already have real strength; my role is to help you uncover it and build the skills to move forward with more clarity, peace, and hope.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out is often the hardest step — so our first session is simply about getting to know each other. There's no script and nothing to "prepare." You can share as much or as little as feels right, ask me anything, and see if we're a good fit. From there, we'll start putting words to what you're carrying and shape a plan that feels doable, not overwhelming. Over time, the people I work with tend to notice real shifts: less anxiety and fewer 3am spirals, steadier moods, healthier coping that doesn't depend on a drink or a habit, firmer boundaries, and more honest connection with the people who matter. You'll leave with concrete tools you can use between sessions — and a clearer sense of who you are and where you're headed. You don't have to have it all figured out to start. Let's have a low-pressure call and take the first step together.
