Great to meet you!

I know first-hand the struggles of balancing a demanding career, personal life, and a desire for fulfillment. After serving in the military and earning my Master’s in Clinical Social Work, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and healing. It’s my own experiences, coupled with my education, that have led me to this mission of helping others not just survive, but thrive. Together, we’ll work through your challenges with a holistic, long-term approach, giving you the tools to build a life that reflects your true self.

No matter where you are on your path, I’m here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, support, as well as offering space to explore, heal, and grow.

I view therapy as a collaborative and transformative process, one that fosters self-awareness, new perspectives, symptom relief, and personal empowerment. My approach is centered on providing a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their challenges, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Above all, I believe in walking alongside my clients on their journey of healing and self-discovery. No matter where you are or what challenges you face, we will work together to create meaningful change—harnessing your strengths, exploring new possibilities, and building a life that aligns with your values and aspirations. My primary area of focus is relational therapy. I have extensive experience in marital/couples/relational counseling, guiding relationships toward deeper connection, understanding, and balance. Additional areas in my scope of practice include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, difficulties around emotions, men's issues, and difficulties around life transitions. I also provide support for challenges related to self-love, self-care, self-acceptance, and identity—helping those who struggle with internal questions like Who am I? Am I worthy? Is it okay to be myself?

My approach to therapy

I believe that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. While many therapists treat relationships as a side-specialty, I have dedicated my clinical practice to the art and science of couples work.

My approach is active and directive. I don't sit back and watch you fight; I step in to help you change the dynamic. I am extensively trained in the Gottman Method and EFT, which allows me to offer both the practical communication tools you need immediately and the deep emotional work required for long-term change.

I view therapy through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens, honoring the unique background and history each partner brings to the room. Whether we are using Gestalt techniques to improve present-moment awareness or CBT to challenge negative assumptions, my goal is to help you create a relationship that feels like a safe haven.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is highly individualized, it depends on what you need. If you come in with a specific concern, we’ll start there. If you’re unsure where to begin, I’ll ask questions about your life, relationships, and experiences, and we’ll naturally find something important to explore.

The first few sessions might feel a little awkward, this is normal! As we get to know each other, our conversations will develop a natural rhythm. Sessions usually begin with a check-in about anything new before shifting into the deeper work. This is sometimes where the emotions come through, but my goal is always to have you leave feeling more understood, having greater capacity, and more equipped to move forward. Laughter and difficult moments often coexist in therapy, and we’ll navigate both together.

Most people find that 55-minute sessions every other week are a great starting point. We might meet more frequently in the beginning and gradually space out sessions as you gain confidence in processing your experiences independently. Therapy is a journey, and while there’s no fixed timeline, the best therapeutic relationships have a beginning, a middle, and an end, allowing you to grow and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
